ChatPilot provides AI-powered chat assistant services by allowing merchants to integrate, configure, and manage an intelligent customer support chatbot for their Shopify stores.

This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

       Shop Information: We access your shop's primary domain, email, and basic store settings to ensure ChatPilot is properly configured and compatible with your storefront.

       Customer Interaction Data: We access order and product information as needed to enable the chatbot to provide accurate, relevant responses to your customers.

 

Information collected independently from Shopify APIs: Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information:

       Merchant Data: We collect your name, email address, and store URL to provide technical support and send updates regarding new features or improvements to the ChatPilot service.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect from you in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. This includes:

       Service Delivery: To deploy and operate the ChatPilot chatbot on your storefront and allow you to customize its behaviour, responses, and appearance.

       Communication: To provide technical support, notify you of updates, or respond to your inquiries.

       Improvement: To optimize the App performance, conversation quality, and feature offerings based on usage patterns.

       Billing: To distinguish between users of our Free and Paid plans to ensure proper access to premium chatbot features and capabilities.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only as necessary to provide our services. For example, we may share information with Shopify to process payments for premium plans.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Your Rights

European Residents: If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example, if you subscribe to a Paid plan), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data Retention

When you configure ChatPilot through the App, we will maintain your chatbot settings and conversation configurations for our records so you can continue to manage and improve your customer support experience, unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
