Getting Started & Setup Guide Wishlist Studio

A walkthrough of each section in the app: Dashboard, General Settings, Advance Settings, Page Settings, Emails & Notifications, and Analytics.

Dashboard

Your at-a-glance summary of wishlist activity.

The Dashboard is the first screen you land on inside the app. It summarizes how customers are using wishlists on your store, and highlights products that are getting a lot of wishlist attention.

What you'll see

Total Wishlist Hits

The total number of times customers have added a product to a wishlist, with a percentage change indicator.

Active Wishlists

The number of wishlists currently in use.

Top Wishlisted Product

The single product getting saved the most.

Wishlist Growth

A bar chart of wishlist activity over a selectable date range, such as the last 30 days.

Customer Insights

Average items per wishlist and the conversion rate from wishlist to checkout.

Products with most Price Drop clicks

A table of products, current price, and how many wishlists they're saved in, with a link to the full report.

Setup Status

A checklist showing setup completion, including App Installed, Button Customized, Theme Integrated, and Enable Email Notifications.

Quick Actions

Shortcuts to export wishlist data, configure email alerts, or view app settings.

How to proceed

  1. Open Dashboard from the left navigation.
  2. Review your key stats and the Wishlist Growth chart.
  3. Check Setup Status and finish any incomplete steps.
  4. Use Quick Actions to jump straight to exporting data or adjusting settings.

General Settings

Everything that controls how the wishlist looks and behaves on your storefront.

General Settings is the single home for the Add to Wishlist button's placement, appearance, launch points, and cart save-for-later behavior — with a live preview so you can check the result before saving.

Placement

Product Page, Collection Page, Cart Drawer

Show the button on any combination of these — each can be toggled independently.

Appearance

Button Style

Choose Icon only, Text only ("Add to Wishlist"), or Icon & Text combined.

Icon Selection

Choose Heart, Star, Bookmark, or upload a Custom icon.

Accent & Background Color

Set the accent color used for the icon and the background color behind it. They can't match — an identical pair would make the icon invisible, so saving is blocked until they differ.

Positioning

Vertical & Horizontal Alignment

Control where the floating button and collection-card icon sit, such as Top-Right or Bottom-Left.

Edge Margin

Fine-tune the spacing between the button and the edge of the image with a slider.

Product Page Position

Set exactly where on the product page the button sits — including a custom CSS selector for precise placement.

Launch points & visibility

Header Near Cart

Show a wishlist entry point next to the cart icon in your store's header.

Floating Button

Show a floating wishlist launcher on the storefront.

Navigation Menu

Add a wishlist link to your store's navigation menu.

Visibility

Show the button for guests and logged-in customers, or restrict it to logged-in customers only.

Cart Save-for-Later

Save-for-later prompt

When a customer removes an item from their cart, prompt them to save it to their wishlist instead.

Pop-up copy

Customize the Pop-up Title, Primary Button Text, and Secondary Button Text shown in the prompt.

Permissions

Control who sees the save-for-later prompt, such as always show.

How to proceed

  1. Open General Settings from the left navigation.
  2. Choose where the button should appear under Placement.
  3. Pick a button style, icon, and colors under Appearance — the accent and background color must differ.
  4. Fine-tune position with the Positioning controls.
  5. Choose your launch points and set Visibility, and configure the Cart Save-for-Later prompt if you want it enabled.
  6. Check the Live Storefront Preview panel to confirm the look, then click Save Changes.

Advance Settings

Deeper control over launch points, branding, and cart abandonment.

Advance Settings gives you finer control over how and where the wishlist launches, your brand styling, and behavior around cart abandonment.

Page Settings

How the wishlist page itself looks and behaves for customers.

Page Settings controls the dedicated wishlist page, drawer, or modal that customers see when they view everything they've saved.

General

Page Title

The heading shown at the top of the wishlist page, such as "My Wishlist".

Page URL

The URL slug the wishlist page lives at on your store. Checked live against your store's pages as you type.

Wishlist Experience

Appearance Type

Display the wishlist as a Side Drawer, Separate Page, or Pop-up Modal.

Dedicated Template Setup

When using a Separate Page, check whether your theme has the dedicated wishlist template, place the wishlist block, and jump straight into the theme editor — shown only when Separate Page is selected.

Additional Options

AI Smart Recommendations

Suggest additional products based on customer favorites, with a customizable heading, such as "You Might Also Like".

Social Sharing

Let customers share their wishlist with friends via social icons.

Empty State

Customize the message shown when a customer's wishlist has nothing in it yet.

Note: The Dedicated Template Setup card only appears when Appearance Type is set to Separate Page — the drawer and modal render over whatever page layout is already on, so there's no template to set up.

How to proceed

  1. Open Page Settings from the left navigation.
  2. Set your Page Title and Page URL.
  3. Choose an Appearance Type — Side Drawer, Separate Page, or Pop-up Modal.
  4. If you choose Separate Page, use the Dedicated Template Setup card to check your theme and open the theme editor.
  5. Turn on AI Smart Recommendations and/or Social Sharing if you'd like them, and set the Empty State message.
  6. Use the Live Storefront Preview to check the result, then click Save Changes.

Sender Details

Sender Name

The name customers see the email come from.

Reply-to Email

Where customer replies are routed.

Email Performance

Performance Summary

A summary panel shows average open rate and how much these emails contribute to conversions, with a link to view full analytics.

  1. Open Emails & Notifications from the left navigation.
  2. Toggle on Price Drop Alerts and/or Back in Stock Alerts.
  3. Set the subject line for each and check the Live Preview.
